Parent Involvement: Why it’s important!

Parents in the classroom raise the ratio of adults to children and creates a parent-teacher bond between home and school. We love having parents, grandparents, and nannies in our classrooms, and it adds another priceless opportunity for Child Priority kids.

Our school is here to also support parents, in what often is their first endeavor in school as a parent. Check the ‘Forms’ tab to see the ‘Guide to Speech and Action’ which gives you a good idea as to how we train our teachers as well as our guidelines for handling situations at school.

Parents are asked to sign-up and help as teacher assistants five school days per year in the Preschool and Pre-K classrooms or pay a small fee to opt out. Parents of the Juniors class are asked to help once a month for two hours. It is a fun day to see your own child in action!

Fundraising at Child Priority

Two fundraisers are an integral part of our program. They offer us the opportunity to purchase new and innovative curriculum and equipment.

Families are asked to choose their level of participation upon enrollment.  Each year we ask families to take 5 minutes to sign into your King Soopers account.  Please put Child Priority as your non-profit choice. It does not take away from your gas or airline points.  It is a separate Rewards Program King Soopers offers to school.

We also ask that you sell 5-10 Colorado Butter Braids in September.  These are delicious frozen pastries.

That’s all the fundraising we do!  So simple and easy for busy families!  Thank you!
